Fan Ejection: Tim Welke Calls for Removal of Harper Heckler

HP Umpire Tim Welke called for the ejection of a Bryce Harper heckler in the Nationals-Braves game. After Nats batter Harper fouled off a first pitch fastball in the top of the 6th inning, Welke removed his mask and ordered Turner Field security to remove an unruly fan seated next to the Braves dugout. Reports from the stadium suggest the offending fan had exhibited persistent vulgar verbal behavior infused with profanity.

In 2010, Bob Davidson ejected a fan at Milwaukee's Miller Park for allegedly using a homophobic slur aimed at Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina.
