MLB Ejection 066: Todd Tichenor (3; Jeff Banister)

2B Umpire Todd Tichenor ejected Rangers Manager Jeff Banister for arguing a safe call in the top of the 9th inning of the Red Sox-Rangers game. With none out and one on, Red Sox baserunner R1 Rusney Castillo attempted to steal second base off Rangers catcher Carlos Corporan, who threw to shortstop Elvis Andrus as Castillo arrived at second base. Though Tichenor ruled Castillo safe on the premise that Andrus forced Castillo off of the base, replays indicate Castillo's momentum caused him to break contact with the bag, the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the Red Sox were leading, 3-2. The Rangers ultimately won the contest, 4-3.

This is Todd Tichenor (13)'s third ejection of 2015.
Todd Tichenor now has 5 points in the UEFL Standings (7 Previous + 2 MLB - 4 Incorrect Call = 5).
Crew Chief Tim Welke now has 6 points in Crew Division (6 Previous + 0 Incorrect Call = 6).

This is the 66th ejection of the 2015 MLB Regular Season.
This is the 28th Manager ejection of 2015.
This is the Rangers' 2nd ejection of 2015, T-1st in the AL West (OAK, SEA, TEX 2; HOU, LAA 1).
