MLB Ejections 036-38 - Lance Barrett (LAA-TB)

3B Umpire Lance Barrett ejected Angels pitcher/bench player Brent Suter and Rays pitchers Steven Wilson & Manuel Rodríguez (delay of game/refusal to leave field/pre-game national anthem standoff) in the top of the 1st inning of the #Angels-#Rays game. Following the pre-game performance of the national anthem, off-day pitchers and bench personnel Suter, Wilson, and Rodríguez remained on the playing field in locations occupied during the national anthem and remained in these positions after Barrett instructed them to leave and warned they would be ejected if they didn't leave the field, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejection, the game hadn't begun (tied 0-0). The Angels ultimately won the contest, 14-3.

These are Lance Barrett (94)'s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ejections of 2026.
