MLB Replay Reviews 661-662: Iassogna, Scott (10, 09)

Instant Replay Review confirmed 2B Umpire Dan Iassogna's HR call in the top of the 4th and upheld 1B Umpire Dale Scott's out call in the top of the 5th inning of the Phillies-Pirates game. In the 4th, with none out and none on, Phillies batter Cody Asche hit a 1-2 changeup from Pirates pitcher Edinson Volquez on a fly ball to deep right center field and near the top of the outfield wall. Upon Replay Review as the result of a request by Pirates Manager Clint Hurdle and initiation by Crew Chief Dale Scott, Iassogna's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Pirates were leading, 3-1.

In the 5th, with one out and none on, Phillies batter Jimmy Rollins hit a ground ball to Pirates first baseman Ike Davis, who threw to pitcher Volquez covering first base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Phillies Manager Ryne Sandberg, Scott's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the review, the Pirates were leading, 3-1. The Pirates ultimately won the contest, 3-2.
