MLB Instant Replay Review 134: Gary Cederstrom (02)

Instant Replay Review confirmed HP Umpire Gary Cederstrom's out call in the top of the 8th inning of the Reds-Pirates game. With none out and three on, Reds batter Devin Mesoraco hit a 0-0 fastball from Pirates pitcher Justin Wilson on a line drive to left fielder Starling Marte, who threw to catcher Russell Martin as Reds baserunner R2 Jay Bruce arrived at home plate. As if we need more proof of what a buffoon Hawk Harrelson is, his three word description of the (initially ruled) out call at the plate: "Dad gum it!"

Now, after listening to the first play, Hawk Harrelson apparently feels there is a conspiracy going on regarding the replay system.

Partner: "Robin has been in somewhat of a challenge slump."

Hawk: "No! Whoever's making decisions has been in a slump. And we both know why -- that we can't talk about yet. Down the road, we'll be able to, but right now, no."
