MLB Instant Replay Review 159: Brian O'Nora (01)

Instant Replay Review overturned 2B Umpire Brian O'Nora's safe call in the bottom of the 3rd inning of the Tigers-Twins game. With two out and one on, Tigers baserunner R1 Brian Dozier attempted to steal second base off Tigers pitcher Jose Ortega and catcher Bryan Holaday, who threw to shortstop Andrew Romine as Dozier slid into second base. Upon Instant Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Tigers Manager Brad Ausmus, O'Nora's ruling that Romine did not tag Dozier while he was off his base was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the Tigers were leading, 2-0. The Twins ultimately won the contest, 5-3.
