MLB Ejections 082-3 - Doug Eddings (1-2; BOS x2)

2B Umpire Doug Eddings ejected Red Sox LF Jarren Duran and manager Alex Cora (Replay Review decision that upheld Eddings' out call; QOCY) in the top of the 8th inning of the #RedSox-#Giants game. With none out and none on, Red Sox batter Duran hit a 0-0 slider from Giants pitcher Tyler Rogers for a line drive to right fielder Mike Yastrzemski, who threw to shortstop Willy Adames as Duran arrived at second base, ruled out by 2B Umpire Eddings and affirmed via Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Red Sox manager Cora. Replays do not conclusively indicate whether Adames tagged Duran while Duran was not in contact with the base, having overslid, during his attempted return, the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Giants were leading, 8-5. The Giants ultimately won the contest, 9-5.
