MLB Ejections 172-173 - Pat Hoberg (6-7; LAA)

HP Umpire Pat Hoberg ejected Angels P Brett Oberholtzer and Manager Mike Scioscia for throwing at Rangers batter Elvis Andrus in the bottom of the 8th inning of the Angels-Rangers game. With one out and none on, Andrus took a 1-2 fastball for a hit-by-pitch. Replays indicate the pitch was located inside and hit Andrus on the upper left ribcage; it was the fourth hit batsman of the game and benches had been previously warned, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejection, the Rangers were leading, 5-4. The Rangers ultimately won the contest, 5-4.
