Ejections: Gerry Davis (1)

2B Umpire Gerry Davis ejected Mariners left fielder Milton Bradley for arguing an out call made by 1B Umpire Todd Tichenor in the top of the 3rd inning of the Mariners-Red Sox game. With one out and two on, Mariners batter Miguel Olivo was called out at first base by Tichenor, third baseman Kevin Youkilis to first baseman Adrian Gonzalez. Replays indicate Olivo clearly touched first base prior to Gonzalez catching the throw, the call was incorrect. At the time of the ejection, the Mariners were leading, 1-0. The Mariners ultimately won the contest, 2-0.

This is Gerry Davis (12)'s first ejection of 2011.

Bradley is ridiculous, but Tichenor is terrible.

just a god awful call by Todd Tichenor.. another guy that proved nothing in the bigs yet was rewarded with a job.

ON a side note the Seattle Mariner TV cast has an isolation on Bradley.. Let's give it up to Gerry Davis by showing some balls and ejecting.. lots of umpires might take a pass in that spot... it was made an easier decision by Milton's reputation though

Milton Bradley and Ozzie Guillen need to make up for the loss of Bobby Cox. Both getting the heave this week!

The NESN feed actually showed the ejection and Bradley getting heated. If someone has MLB.TV, could they please post the condensed game with the Red Sox feed.

Bad call by Tichenor, but good for Gerry Davis.

That was a huge missed call ("Boston Bias"), but it's no surprise that Bradley, not even the runner involved, gets tossed.

Speaking of Todd Tichnor// He was horrible of the plate again... Over 30 misses including almost a dozen that would be view as big misses. Hard to believe he has a job... We might have a new CB Bucknor

For all of you that say that Tichenor has a job, he doesnt. He is working on that crew for Bill Hohn, who is out this year for medical reasons. Rumor is that Tichenor will be given the job next year. Easy for you guys to sit on here and bash Tichenor, I'd like to see all of you work in his position. Remember, he's there for a reason...remember a couple years ago when he ran Gardenhire, Francona, Redmond, and Varitek? Yea, that's why he is where he is, that was as good of situation handling as you can get.
