MLB Ejections 107|108 - Wegner (1|2; Alonso, Melvin)

HP Umpire Mark Wegner ejected Athletics 1B Yonder Alonso and Manager Bob Melvin for arguing a strike three call in the bottom of the 4th inning of the Blue Jays-Athletics game. With one out and one on, Alonso took a 3-2 sinker for a called third strike. Replays indicate the pitch was located over the inner half of home plate and at the hollow of the knee (px .490, pz 1.475 [sz_bot 1.470]), the call was correct. At the time of the ejection, the Blue Jays were leading, 7-3. The A's ultimately won the contest, 8-7.
