MLB Ejection 134: Jim Joyce (1; Brad Ausmus)

1B Umpire Jim Joyce ejected Tigers Manager Brad Ausmus for arguing a Replay Review allowance and decision that overturned Joyce's safe call in the top of the 3rd inning of the Tigers-Angels game. With one out and one on, Angels pitcher Matt Shoemaker threw to first baseman Albert Pujols in an attempt to pick off Tigers baserunner R1 Eugenio Suarez. Replays indicate Pujols tagged Suarez during his slide and before his touch of first base, the call was correct.* At the time of the ejection, the Angels were leading, 1-0. The Angels ultimately won the contest, 4-0.

This is Jim Joyce (66)'s first ejection of the 2014 MLB Regular Season.
Jim Joyce now has 2 points in the UEFL Standings (-2 Prev + 2 MLB + 2 Correct Call = 2).
Crew Chief Jim Joyce now has -5 points in Crew Division (-6 Previous + 1 Correct Call = -5).
*Replay Review Regulation II.D.1 states the Manager "must exercise his challenge...before the commencement of the next play or pitch...when the pitcher is on the rubber preparing to start his delivery and the batter has entered the batter's box."

This is the 134th ejection of the 2014 MLB Regular Season.
This is the 60th Manager ejection of 2014.
This is the Tigers' 3rd ejection of 2014, T-2nd in the AL Central (KC 5; CWS, DET, MIN 3; CLE 1).
