MLB Ejection 031 - Marvin Hudson (2; Pedro Grifol)

HP Umpire Marvin Hudson ejected White Sox manager Pedro Grifol (warnings after Luis Robert HBP) in the bottom of the 1st inning of the #Rays-#WhiteSox game. With one out and none on, White Sox batter Andrew Vaughn hit a 1-0 cutter from Rays pitcher Zach Elfin for a home run. Ensuing White Sox batter Robert then took a first-pitch fastball for a hit-by-pitch. Replays indicate the pitch was located inside and struck Robert's lower back, upon which a crew consultation was effected and warnings were issued; Grifol was ejected for coming onto the playing field to dispute a warning, the call was irrecusable.* At the time of the ejection, the game was tied, 1-1. The Rays ultimately won the contest, 3-2.

This is Marvin Hudson (51)'s 1st ejection of 2023.
*Official Baseball Rule 6.02(c)(9) Comment: "Team personnel may not come onto the playing surface to argue or dispute a warning issued. If a manager, coach or player leaves the dugout or their position to dispute a warning, they should be warned to stop. If they continue, they are subject to ejection."
