MLB Ejections 045-6 - Roberto Ortiz (1-2; OAK x2)

HP Umpire Roberto Ortiz ejected Athletics manager Mark Kotsay and 3B Miguel Andujar (strike one and two calls; QOCN) in the bottom of the 7th inning of the #Phillies-#Athletics game. With two out and two on, A's batter Adujar took two consecutive sweepers from Phillies pitcher Jesús Luzardo for called first and second strikes, before striking out swinging on the next pitch. Replays indicate the pitch ruled strike one was located off the outer edge of home plate and thigh high (px 1.03, pz 2.15), and the pitch ruled strike two was located off the outer edge of home plate and below the midpoint (px 0.95, pz 3.31 [sz_top 3.53]), the calls were incorrect.* At the time of the ejections, the game was tied, 3-3. The Athletics ultimately won the contest, 5-4.
