MLB Ejection & Replay Review: Hernandez, Cederstrom

HP Umpire Gary Cederstrom ejected Mets Manager Terry Collins for arguing a Replay Review decision that upheld 1B Umpire Angel Hernandez's out call in the bottom of the 5th inning of the Brewers-Mets game. With none out and none on, Mets batter Taylor Teagarden hit a 3-1 fastball from Brewers pitcher Wily Peralta on the ground to first baseman Mark Reynolds, who threw to Peralta as Teagarden arrived at first base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by Mets Manager Terry Collins, Hernandez's ruling was affirmed, the call was correct. Replays indicate Peralta possessed the baseball prior to Teagarden's arrival, the call was correct. At the time of the ejection and review, the Brewers were leading, 3-1. The Brewers ultimately won the contest, 3-1.
