MLB Ejections 090-091: Mark Ripperger (2-3; Phillies)

HP Umpire Mark Ripperger ejected Phillies P Roberto Hernandez for throwing at Cubs batter Starlin Castro and Phillies Manager Ryne Sandberg for arguing Hernandez's ejection (Unsportsmanlike-NEC) in the top of the 6th inning of the Cubs-Phillies game. With two out and none on, Castro took a 0-0 sinker from Hernandez for a hit-by-pitch. Replays indicate the pitch was located thigh high and inside, the call was irrecusable. At the time of the ejections, the Cubs were leading, 2-0. The Cubs ultimately won the contest, 2-1.

This is Mark Ripperger (90)'s second, third ejection of the 2014 MLB Regular Season.
