MLB Instant Replay Review S-26: Anthony Johnson (S-1)

Instant replay affirmed 1B Umpire Anthony Johnson's out call in the bottom of the 7th inning of the Tigers-Yankees game. With one out and none on, Yankees batter Brian Roberts hit a 3-2 pitch from Tigers pitcher Luke Putkonen to second baseman Devon Travis, who threw to first baseman Jordan Lennerton as Roberts arrived at first base. Upon instant replay review as the result of a challenge by Yankees Manager Joe Girardi, Johnson's ruling that Lennerton caught the throw and tagged first base prior to Roberts' touch was confirmed, the call was correct. At the time of the instant replay review, the Tigers were leading, 6-2. The contest ultimately ended in a tie, 7-7, in 10 innings.

Just seems a little unusual that the two overturned calls thus far have been made by non-MLB umpires.
