2014 No-Hitter 2: Greg Gibson (2; Clayton Kershaw)

Clayton Kershaw's no-hitter with plate umpire Greg Gibson presiding Wednesday evening in Los Angeles marked the second no-hitter of the 2014 MLB season. Gibson was joined for the Rockies-Dodgers game by Phil Cuzzi (1B), Crew Chief Gerry Davis (2B) and Quinn Wolcott (3B). This is Kershaw's first career no-hitter, a career-high 15-strikeout performance.

Wednesday was Gibson's second plate no-hitter (Randy Johnson, 5/18/2004 [Perfect Game]) and the first MLB no-hitter since May 25, 2014 (Brian Knight; Josh Beckett). Gibson and crewmate Phil Cuzzi (Bud Smith, 9/3/2001) are the only members of this crew to have called a no-hitter.

Gibson received 46 callable pitches from Kershaw, a total of 28 balls and 18 called strikes; the look:

Balls: 23 called balls outside of strike zone / 5 called balls within strike zone = 23/28 = <90.0% Accuracy.
Strikes: 17 called strikes inside strike zone / 1 called strike outside strike zone = 17/18 = 94.4% Accuracy.
Total Raw Accuracy Score = 40/46 = <90.0% Accuracy (+4 in favor of Colorado/Against Kershaw).
