MLB Instant Replay Review 559: Mark Wegner (11)

Instant Replay Review overturned 2B Umpire Mark Wegner's safe call in the bottom of the 3rd inning of the White Sox-Twins game. With none out and none on, Twins batter Brian Dozier hit a 2-2 curveball from White Sox pitcher Andre Rienzo on a line drive to left fielder Alejandro De Aza, who threw to second baseman Gordon Beckham as Dozier arrived at second base. Upon Replay Review as the result of a challenge by White Sox Manager Robin Ventura, Wegner's ruling was reversed, the call was incorrect. At the time of the review, the White Sox were leading, 2-1. The Twins ultimately won the contest, 4-3.
